IFG Wills (referred to in this policy as “we“, “us” or “our“) is the “controller” under data protection laws. Where we’re processing your personal information in relation to our Wills service, we’re the controller of your personal information.

The main purposes we collect and process your personal information are: to improve your experience on the Site; provide the services you sign up for, in particular the preparation of Islamic wills; communicate with you directly in the course of providing our services or when the law allows us to do this. 

As part of our service we may share your anonymised data with an external Islamic law expert in order to certify your document as sharia-compliant. 

Where you engage with a campaign provided by us in collaboration with a third-party such a charity, your data may be shared with said third-party so as to better enable them to deliver and improve their services and to track any bequests made in their favour. This data includes your email address, name, donated amounts, and such other information as is necessary for the third-party to effectively manage its legacy programme.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for: administrative, legal, security, tax or regulatory purposes.
